Leicester’s premier talent competition for young people is back for the sixth year running as the hunt begins to find a brand new star.
Taking place on Saturday 9th December 2017 at The Y Theatre, those aged between eight and 25 will battle it out to win not only an iPad and £200 worth of vouchers, but the winning title itself.
Auditions will be taking place in Leicester this September and applicants are being encouraged to apply under the following three categories; Dance, Singing and Other.
Founder of Leicester’s Got Talent, Romail Gulzar said: “Leicester’s Got Talent is by far one of my favourite events of the year. We always get to witness such a high level of talent on stage which proves how much we have to offer as a city.
“Young people are the future of this city and it’s important that we give them a voice and a stage so they can shine under the spotlight.”
Last year’s winners got the rare opportunity to perform at the glittering red carpet Leicester Curry Awards event, which had a number of high profile guests in attendance. This year’s winners will also receive the same amazig opportunity to perform to a live audience.
Once again popular ITV Central News reporter Rajiv Popat will be hosting the event, which is run in collaboration with independent UK charity Crimestoppers and Leicestershire Police. Event sponsors include Bond Adams Solicitors, DMU Local and Anand International. The event is also proud to support mental health charity LAMP.
