Last chance to shine in annual talent competition

Can you sing like Adele or dance like Diversity? If you think you’ve got what it takes to capture an audience, then you’ll have to be quick to enter Leicester’s Got Talent 2017 as nominations are closing on 20 November.

Now running in its sixth year, Leicester’s Got Talent is a local event which brings together the community and shines the spotlight on young people to showcase their talent in a safe environment.

This year, anyone between the ages of 8 to 25 can participate as well as groups performers and have the chance of being picked to perform at the live event on 9 December at The Y Theatre.

Romail Gulzar, event organiser and Chair for Crimestoppers, said: “The event really does showcase our young people at their best and I cannot believe the calibre of entries so far and am excited to see who will be performing at the live show in December.”

Last year the event saw numerous acts perform in front of an audience of 300 from individual violin and saxophone players to break dancing and bhangra performers.

It was 16-year-old Amirah Steele-Bobat, who scooped the overall winner title last year with her soulful voice combined with her talented guitar skills.

Fast forward a year and now the coveted title is up for grabs. Entrants have only a few days left to enter the competition so be quick to avoid disappointment. You can enter via the website, wwww.leicestersgottalent.com

The winning prize is an iPad and £200 worth of vouchers for the overall winner.

This year’s show will kick off in style at 11am, where audience members will be treated to an afternoon of fantastic entertainment and memorable performances. We hope to see you there!
